Due to spending the last 2 days shearing alpacas at Inca, I missed the birth of our first cria this year. Born mid/late afternoon yesterday it was a slow starter and had to be fed expressed milk the first couple of feeds but I am pleased to report all is good now and he is doing well.

The cria looks lovely - a beautiful black. How were our Inca pacas - Coire Maya Gold and half of Coire Inca Cardhu? Did you see them or even shear them??!!!!
Well done! Was he a bit premmie? Seems a bit down on his pasterns?
Who's the Daddy? As a guess looking at his head I would say Witness?
Lucy - Can't recall seeing yours - I missed out on the first few each day and didn't help with the lot yesterday. It was all very busy - we did about 100 over the day and half I was there. I came home with fleece all over the place!
Mark - He is a bit down on his pasterns and was weak like premmie but was 11 months 8 days. He is doing well though - shame about the rain. Yes you have it right he is a Witness baby - gold star for you.
Sometimes I impress myself so much it hurts.
Most of the time it's the other thing.
