Sad news today

Unfortunately one of our pointer pups had to be put to sleep today. She had a blockage in her intestines and there was nothing that could be done. It was kinder to put have her put to sleep than watch her continue to deteriorate.

Thankfully the rest of the litter are doing well.

Jack in the house

OK...so not to be outdone by the Patou herd....

Jack, having been to visit the Amiryck girls decided to pop in for a quick bevvy, before he headed off home!

Christopher doesn't seem convinced!

April's arrivals

We are delighted with the arrival of April's 7 puppies today. April gave birth to 2 black and white dogs, 1 liver and white dog, 2 black and white bitches and 2 liver and white bitches on the morning of 22 August 2008. Both mum and babies are doing well.

They just keep coming....

Today saw the arrival of Annie's cria. With markings like his mum he won't make stud material but boy is he big! We are hoping our 3rd and final Groove cria will be a female! We will have over a month to wait and see though!

2 new arrivals

Well the birthing paddock has been filling up...

Sunday 27th July saw the arrival of Cashew 11 days early. Unfortunately he acted it and his mum wasn't sure how to deal with her first cria. The first day and a half saw us bottle feeding him, firstly with powdered colustrum and then with his mum's own supply. Thankfully on Tuesday he had found enough strength to feed from his mum himself and is now doing well.

Today we have had the arrival of another, a little black girl, about 3 weeks late. It was a text book arrival and mum and baby are doing well.
