We are sad to report the loss of Ambroses premature black cria boy tonight.
We had a trip to Aberdeen this weekend for Richard's brothers wedding (which was a magnificent affair!!) and left all our animals in my parent's capable hands. We knew the cria, Dodder, was weak when we left but we put it down to being 17 days early. Over the weekend it became obvious he was not well and the vet was called in. Mum and dad did an amazing job caring for him and we were so pleased they were here since their vigilance meant that we actually had a stab at saving him. Unfortunately I don't think it was ever to be and despite several trips from the vet, treatments, help and advice from Tracey and Tim we lost the battle for him this evening.
On a more positive note Monique's cria is doing very well. I will hopefully get some photos to post on here shortly.

Such a shame, especially after all the effort Richard put in.
So sorry to hear that Karen. You know we know all about losing crias this year. It is a horrible feeling. Still, you did all you could.
Sometimes it's just not meant to be.
Looking forward to more photos of Monique's 'behemoth', any name for her yet?
