It would appear I have slipped a bit updating my blog. Not because there is nothing going on but more because there is so much...most of it run of the mill, however, the last couple of weeks have brought some more noteworthy news.
A week and a half ago we saw our first cria born on our farm. We were delighted that Moselle produced us a lovely brown girl, sired by Van Diemen Qjori of Patou. Unfortunately Moselle prolapsed delivering her, she was a very big girl! However, the vets were able to sort things quickly and she was right as rein within minutes. There was no looking back and her cria goes from strength to strength. Lets hope our the remainder of our cria are equally good results.

This weekend I had a fabulous time at Newton Abbot & South Devon Canine Society Open Show. Pearl, our pointer puppy, was awarded Best Puppy in Breed. Then Nettie, our seven month old HWV pup won her Open class, beating some older, top winning competition to gain Best of Breed and Best Puppy in Breed. This meant I had two puppies in the puppy group ring, which is unheard of for me who isn't very often seen out showing! Just to add the icing on the cake, Nettie was later awarded Puppy Group 4.

My face was a picture when Nettie was awarded Puppy Group 4 - thank goodness Sam of Farlap Photography was there to capture the moment on camera....! |

Finally! Grandiflora, wow that's a name and a half! Glad to see they are both doing well and well done in the dog thingy.
Congratulations, Nettie looks fantastic...and great posing for the judges...if only alpacas were as well behaved in the ring!
Congratulations! I'd love to know what Nettie is thinking in the picture of the judge handing you the rosette.
